A Birthday Card For My Princess.

My 1st baby girl, the kidlet in the middle, turned 10 today! Double digits! I wonder if that means double attitude. God, I hope not, she already thinks she's 13!

I made her card using some Junkitz paper I have had in my stash for ages and ages and there's a Purple Pumpkin birdy button as the flower centre.

And a close up of that gorgeous button.

You should pop over to here for a little sneaky peek at what she will be putting up for sale on Friday.

This ones going in The Shabby Tea Room - Pearls and Pastels Challenge.

A Very Quick Card.

OMG! I nearly forgot my mum's birthday!

I have my son's birthday today, the big 18, an adult now and my daughters birthday on Tuesday. Sandwiched in between is my mum on Monday. I've been so concentrated on my kids birthdays that I almost forgot Mum! I even rang her to ask if she could watch the girls while I was at the dentist tomorrow and still didn't twig. Of course Mum, being Mum, didn't didn't say anything.

So I whipped up a card this afternoon and it'll be a mad dash to the shops in the morning before the dentist.

1 sheet of Kaisercraft "Birdsong", a couple of rhinestones and a paper flower. Phew! Done!

Le Wedding Card.

Now I wonder if that should be "le" or "la" wedding card? Feel free, anyone out there in the blogasphere, to correct my ignorant French!

Anyhoo, this is the card for the wedding of the acceptance I made here.

See that little image? That's from a Graphic 45 (surprise, surprise) Le Romantique paper. I scanned the sheet, then printed it onto white Bazzill for a little texture and used a gold gel pen to accent a few of the folds in the brides dress. You can see the result  in the closeup photo further down.

And here's that closeup.

I'm feeling particularly clever, as I would usually buy that sort of thing, but gave it a go myself because I wanted a quite small one. Sooo easy! I don't know why I've been scared of them!!

I wasn't sure about using black card for the base, thought maybe it was a bit funeralish, but I'm pretty happy with overall look. Pretty formal looking I think.

Having A Go At Steampunk.

The Steampunk style has been a part of fantasy, science fiction artwork and literature for a few years now. When I first heard the phrase "steampunk" I had to google it and, even though I liked what I saw I couldn't see how it would work with small pieces like a card. Then Graphic 45 hopped on the bandwagon and introduced their Steampunk Debutante collection. Well, now I could see.

You should pop over to the Graphic 45 Ning group and check out some of the fabulous creations.

I made this card as a thankyou for someone who's zest for creating truly inspires me.

The next photo is a close up of the stamped paper flower and if you don't look to closely you won't see that I've actually attached it upside down!!

Hugs And Kisses.

These are something I made ages ago. One of my very first BTP projects using Heidi Grace papers, those huge Kaisercraft wooden letters and Prima Flowers. Back in the days when I thought all my papercrafting needs could be fulfilled in Big W! Then I visited a scrapbooking store......

Proudly displayed on my loungeroom wall.

My Card For Dad.

Tomorrow is Fathers Day for Aussie Dad's. Our time to say thanks and to tell him how much we love him.

If you are a single Mum, like me, you will know what I mean when I say I think that we lean on our parents just a little bit more than others. We need our Dads, and our Mums, to take up the slack that having no partner leaves us with. Tomorrow is a time for me to let my Dad know that I truly appreciate all that he does for me and my children.

I've used Graphic 45 (surprise, surprise) A Proper Gentleman papers. The chipboard "D" is not the way it was originally supposed to be though. Underneath the paper that I've covered it with is a horrible stamping disaster!

Happy Fathers Day to all the Dad's everywhere but especially to my Daddy. Love you!

I've entered this card in the 2 Sisters Challenge - Monochromatic
