This Time Le Romantique

This is my first time using a paper doily and I quite like how it turned out. I coloured it with Hero Arts Shadow Ink.

It would seem that the cards I've been making lately are leaning towards decoupage and I'm lovin' it!

Communique - Graphic 45....again!

Well, it's been awhile since I've made a card, we have been so busy! But this weekend has been one of those rare ones with nothing to do and no place to be. YAY! I'm back in the "craft room" again today too, if the ironing stops calling, no, yelling, to me.

I've used my current favourite paper again, Graphic 45. This time from the Communique collection.

The little paper roses are so easy to make using the little Prima paper flowers and the crochet flower is from my yummy stash of Purple Pumpkin goodies.

As always, you can't tell from the photo (or is it my photography?) that the camera on the bottom and the photo above it are mounted with foam tape.

I have also tried something for the first time with this card. The sentiment at the top was printed on the twill by my trusty printer! I have also rediscovered my gorgeous black tissue paper flowers that I had forgotten about. You can see one under the paper rose here.

Don't forget to come and P{l}ay It Forward with me too. I have 2 spots left.

I Need More Hours In The Day!!

I haven't made a card in what seems like forever!. Life just keeps getting in the way. Work, dancing, school stuff....on and on and no time to open the craft room door. :(

But...I'm off to the Stitches and Craft show on Wednesday! Yippee!! I can't wait. I've been soooo looking forward to it ever since my first visit last year. I'm leaving the kidlets at school this year though. They got bored last year after the first lap and nagged to go home.

Because I feel like I need to post something, and I don't want to be accused of Blogger neglect, I'm going to show you a fantastic giveaway over at The Clip Cafe.

You like? Well how about adding this if she gets to 90 followers?

And she will be adding more if she gets 100 and 110 followers!

Go and visit Vanessa and become a follower to be in the running. Don't forget to tell her I sent you.

Happy Birthday Card For Crafty Cardmakers

Crafty Cardmakers are 1! Hip Hip Hooray!

To celebrate their 1st birthday in the blogasphere their challenge is...yep...you guessed it...Birthdays.

For my entry I have used Kaisercraft Sugar Sugar papers. I embellished the top of the cakes with tiny pearls. Don't they look like cashous?

Happy Birthday Crafty Cardmakers!

Kaisercraft K Bot Part 2.

My 2nd entry for the Paper Sundaes "Metal" challenge.

For the this one I added some broken chain to the coloured brads on the cogs and also gave a longer piece for the robot to hold to make it look like he's falling apart.

Kaisercraft K Bot Part 1.

My 1st entry for the Paper Sundaes "Metal" challenge.

This K Bot paper is such fun to use. I fussy cut the cogs, mounted them with foam tape, added a couple of screw head brads and some kitchen twine to simulate movement.
