Sympathy Cards.

Over the last couple of weeks I've been asked to make two sympathy cards. Sad occasions, both of them, one was for a child and one was for a great grandmother.

The first one, for a little girl, was commissioned through my madeit store. My brief was that her parents had called her their "little ladybug". I had a gorgeous little ladybug button from Purple Pumpkin that was pink and white and I wasn't comfortable using dark colours for a child so this is what I came up with.

See the little ladybug button?

The next one was for a great grandmother and I used the more traditional dark colours and a flourish from Flourish with a Bling.

I hope I might have helped you with ideas for sympathy cards, they're so hard to make.

Arrhhh! Bad Photos.

My entry in the 2 Sisters Challenge - No designer paper.

Such a nice card, such a bad photo!
Some of you may know I haven't had a computer for a week, yes a WEEK!! By the time I uploaded these photos from the camera, which by the way looked perfectly fine on the camera, the card had been packed up and sent off to my lovely friend. So no opportunity to retake a better photo. Oh well, my friend and I know how nice and sparkly it really is.

As you have no doubt guessed it's a wedding card, with sparkly entwined hearts, which are Kaisercraft wood flourish hearts, Modge Podged and glittered.

And my new, new favourite bow to do.

Again, the detail is really hard to see but the card was truly beautiful!

Moving on......

I want to tell you about a lovely new blog by Liz Weber. Some of you may already know Liz from her blog I Love Creating Cards. Well she has combined her cardmaking love with her love of coordinating card kits and come up with Make Your Own Cards. Please visit and have a look at her very first Merry Christmas card kit!!
