Forgotten Papers.

Hi Everyone.

When I was looking for some paper to make the card for my Mum's birthday that I almost, yes only almost, forgot. (Remember? This one here). I came across a little stash of forgotten Kaisercraft papers. I've left them on my desk so they don't get forgotten again. Amongst them were these papers from their Blushed collection and this afternoon I whipped up a couple of quick cards.

A closeup of the lollypop flower. I'm sure that everyone knows how to make these but if you don't there's a little tutorial over at Scrap A Little.

And another one using the reverse of the papers above.

Have a great weekend, or whatever's left of it. :)

Le Wedding Card.

Now I wonder if that should be "le" or "la" wedding card? Feel free, anyone out there in the blogasphere, to correct my ignorant French!

Anyhoo, this is the card for the wedding of the acceptance I made here.

See that little image? That's from a Graphic 45 (surprise, surprise) Le Romantique paper. I scanned the sheet, then printed it onto white Bazzill for a little texture and used a gold gel pen to accent a few of the folds in the brides dress. You can see the result  in the closeup photo further down.

And here's that closeup.

I'm feeling particularly clever, as I would usually buy that sort of thing, but gave it a go myself because I wanted a quite small one. Sooo easy! I don't know why I've been scared of them!!

I wasn't sure about using black card for the base, thought maybe it was a bit funeralish, but I'm pretty happy with overall look. Pretty formal looking I think.

More Graphic 45.......

Another card using the gorgeous, scrumptious Graphic 45 papers. The Fashionista Collection this time. Look at the images in this paper, they're just beautiful and vintagey!

And yep, there's another one of my favourite, tooooo easy flowers. With a rolled ribbon and pearl center this time.

I'm entering this one in the following challenges:

Paper Sundaes - Make your own flower.
AUD Sentiments - No sentiment.
Wild Orchid - Say it with flowers.

When Things Go Wrong!

You know that saying? There are no mistakes, only unique creations. Well, what about this unique creation?

I tried to make one of those fabric flowers that have melted edges....obviously this is not the material to do THAT with. But I love it! It is a real "nylony" material and it literally melted over the candle, went all bubbly and shrunk a bit too. The fabric was quite soft and is now very stiff. Won't it look fabulous on a card?

My Little Project This Afternoon.

Who knew what you could do with some fabric, buttons, circle templates and pinking shears! Aren't they divine? I generally make my cards to go into envelopes so they can't be to lumpy and bumpy. I have seen these flowers on a card or LO somewhere and they are perfect for cards that you want to pop in an envelope. The fabric is from Elizabeth the Vintage Fabric Addict, you can find her fabulous store here and the buttons are courtesy of my Grandmother's button box that I inherited. Could it be any easier?
