Birthday Card For A Tomboy.

My 10 year old daughter was invited to the birthday party of one of her classmates this weekend. This friend is quite a tomboy and I didn't think would appreciate a girly girl card so I compromised by using red, black and white with only a teeny bit of bling. The music theme was because she was getting a set of drums and lessons for her birthday.

That spotty button round is a Purple Pumpkin one of course and the two music buttons are lovely ones sent to me from Vanessa at The Clip Cafe

The sheet music I found on Google and printed onto shimmery cardstock to make my own DP. Not toooo girly, just a little!

I Love Glitter!

I love how it looks in the little bottles I keep it in. I love how it ends up everywhere no matter how hard you try to be careful. Most of all I love how it changes the whole look of an embellishment.

This is the first card I've made using my MYO Card Kit that I mentioned here yesterday and my entry into Cards For Men - Challenge No. 24 Christmas Cards.

Apart from having a whole heap more Xmas cards to make I have the teachers gifts to make as well. I have all the supplies ready and plan to make a start on them tonight.

Can you see what all those goodies might become?

Little Parcels

I love coming home and seeing little parcels at my front door.

I received my P{l}ay It Forward parcel from Vanessa over at the Clip The Cafe some time ago.

Lots of sweet goodies in there. Thanks Vanessa!

And my MYO Card Kit arrived on Tuesday!

You can grab your own MYO Card Kit from Liz at MYO Cards. I can't wait to see what Liz will do for her next kit.

It's Been So Long........

since I've posted a card! I always have such GRAND plans for the evenings and weekends and it never, ever works out that way. Life just keeps getting in the way of my cardmaking! It doesn't help that I'm the sort of cardmaker that doesn't just stick and go. I put it together (without the glue), take it apart, put it together...you get the drift. It takes me ages to make one card and even then it never looks like the one in my mind!

Well, here it is. A Christmas card with a Purple Pumpkin button taking pride of place on my little red rosette (1/2 a rosette actually because I couldn't quite get it right). The image is from the Graphic 45 Christmas past Deluxe Collection and the PP is from the Kaisercraft 'Tis The Season 6' x 6' paper pad.

A closeup of the Purple Pumpkin button.

Happy papercrafting everyone.

Arrhhh! Bad Photos.

My entry in the 2 Sisters Challenge - No designer paper.

Such a nice card, such a bad photo!
Some of you may know I haven't had a computer for a week, yes a WEEK!! By the time I uploaded these photos from the camera, which by the way looked perfectly fine on the camera, the card had been packed up and sent off to my lovely friend. So no opportunity to retake a better photo. Oh well, my friend and I know how nice and sparkly it really is.

As you have no doubt guessed it's a wedding card, with sparkly entwined hearts, which are Kaisercraft wood flourish hearts, Modge Podged and glittered.

And my new, new favourite bow to do.

Again, the detail is really hard to see but the card was truly beautiful!

Moving on......

I want to tell you about a lovely new blog by Liz Weber. Some of you may already know Liz from her blog I Love Creating Cards. Well she has combined her cardmaking love with her love of coordinating card kits and come up with Make Your Own Cards. Please visit and have a look at her very first Merry Christmas card kit!!
